Big Brother Charlie meets his Little Sister

Charlie was VERY excited to meet his little sister! He climbed right up in bed with me and rubbed her head saying, "nice Baby!". Charlie is going to be a GREAT big brother!!!

Friday, March 6th, 2009: I had a scheduled enduction planned for Monday, March 9th, but baby girl had other plans! I had been out running errands for a few hours and felt great. In fact, I had called my sister-in-law Jena while I was at the mall to ask her a questions and remember telling her how good I felt and for sure this baby wouldn't come any earlier than Monday! I got home around two pm and was putting some things away and my water broke, I knew either today or tomorrow we would be having this baby! Called the OB office, then my sister-in-law (who thought I was still shopping! LOL) to see if she could pick up Charlie, and then my parents to have them come up to stay w/ Charlie.

We arrived at the hospital at 4pm. By 6:30 I was hooked up to IV's and pitocin was started to start contractions. At 9:00 I asked for an epidural and at 9:30 I was 5 centimeter dilated. An hour later I was having some major pressure and mentioned it to the nurse, she check me and I was complete, at 10 cm! Almost exactly an hour later, we welcomed BABY GIRL WEBB into the world!

Weight: 7lbs, 7oz

Length: 21 in

I was so worried about how things would go, knowing how awful my labor had been with Charlie. This labor was completely different in the best way possible!!

38 Weeks

This isn't exactly 39 weeks, but this is the picture that was taken at my work shower, so I'll use it as my 38 week picture. :)

Another suprise...in the mail!

One of my BFF's, Sarah (from CO) sent me this beautiful quilt...which I'm assuming is hand made by her as I know she had been a quilting fool lately!!! It is absolutely gorgeous and the colors are SO fun! BGW is going to enjoy this for YEARS to come! She also send me some adorable little onesies, the little ange onesie has wings on the back too, so awesome!!! Thanks SARAH!!!!

Suprise Baby Shower

Baby Girl Webb got the most adorable things at the baby shower my co-workers completely suprised me by. I thought we were going out to lunch for other reason and I show up and it's a baby shower for me!! I have the best co-workers! :) They're not in the picture, but Charlie got a train/truck/car and I'm a Big Brother book too, he LOVES them! My co-worker took some pics at the actual shower so hopefully I'll have them to upload here soon.

These are the balloons from the shower. Charlie has had quite a hay day w/ balloons lately. Kevin attached them to the back of his "bike" and he rides all around the house with them trailing behind. It's pretty funny! Oh, and notice that his shirt is COVERED with stickers, his other new favorite thing! :)

This weeks art class

At today's art class we got to work w/ Crayola model magic. This wasn't quite the hit that painting was last week, but we still had fun.

Charlie finished early and got to play with shapes and match them to the card. He did REALLY good with that!

Silly Sunday

Charlie is still wearing his crown he made in art class, it's pretty funny.

He also got ahold of Kevin's sticker book from when he was little and managed to peel some of them off. He wore them ALL day!! LOL

Art Class!

I took Charlie to his first art class today. He had so much fun and did a really good job of listening to the teacher and was very creative!! In the picture below he is holding his art work. He painted a cherry blossom branch in a pot. He picked out the yellow frame and green pot w/ black pieces. I helped him glue on the pot and he did a pretty good job of cutting the black paper into pieces. Then we used a paint brush to paint the brown branches. We used little koosh ball rings and our finger tips to make the pink berries. The last step was to make a hand made red stamp, which is in the upper right hand corner. He was so proud and it was so cute!

While we were waiting for the painting to dry, Charlie made this pretty crown. He used markers to color on around the outside of the plate. Then he picked out the stickers he wanted to use. I took them off the page for him, but he put them on the crown. He loves this thing!

36 weeks

I had Kevin take a 36 week pic tonight. As I'm sitting here updating the blog, our little girl is reminding me of how little space she has left in my belly!

Happy Valentines Day!

Charlie was supposed to celebrate Valentines Day on Friday at daycare, however he woke up w/ a bad cough, runny nose, watery eyes, and a temp. Daddy had to wake up early to take care of me...usually he sleeps really late and it's his day off. Here I am in the Valentines shirt that no one but Mama and Daddy got to see.

After Mommy left, Daddy took this silly pic of me putting on Mommy's glasses.

Daddy was taking a bit of nap himself and didn't hear me wake up early. I had some fun w/ my the clothes in my laundry basket.
Mommy brought home a heart balloon from work, I like to say "pull, pull, pull" to bring it closer to me.

34 Weeks

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Feeling pretty good still...but it seems crazy that I only have 6 more weeks (42 days) until my due date!!

Seeing Double

Got the new stroller today, yippee! It's a double that will transition into a sit n stand when Charlie is ready for it. It also matches our current car seat pretty well! Exciting stuff!
