Okoboji Vacation

We had a GREAT summer vacation w/ Grandma & Grandpa Johnson, and my brother, Kent's, family. We stayed at Bridges Bay in Okoboji (www.bridgesbayresort.com). This was our first time staying there and it was great for our group. We had a three bedroom condo w/ a main living space that had a full kitchen and dining table. We ended up being on the ground floor which worked out great for the kids to be able to run around outside and for easy access in and out. The resort has an indoor water park and an outdoor pool (which we finally got to use on Saturday thanks to the weather warming up). We spent a lot of time at the water park, going for walks, doing a bit of shopping, and just relaxing. The adults even got to an evening out w/ Taylor and Maddie babysitting the kids on Saturday night. There is a great bar/restaurant attached called Bracco's that was really yummy! What a great trip!

THURSDAY EVENING (Aug 2o)

Grandma Arlet has this cool BINGO game where you actually get to spin the balls to call the letter/number. Charlie was a great ball spinner! 

FRIDAY MORNING (Aug 21)

We headed to the pool first thing on Friday morning. Audrey had a great time in her floaty and Charlie loved the water. I don't have many pictures of Charlie swimming because I was always chasing him around!!!

SUNDAY (Aug 23)

We headed to Arnold's Park on our way out of town. Sure glad we did, cause Charlie had a great time!!

 I woke Charlie up this morning singing "Happy Birthday" too him. He didn't like the singing at first...until he knew there was presents to be opened, then he started singing "Happy Birthday" to himself! Ha!

Kevin has been gone a lot with the car biz being so busy with Cars for Clunkers so we really enjoyed him being home and spending time with him. Audrey also got her new chew toy, "Sophie" and she LOVES it!
